I use a 3 part mineral spirits wash to clean the brush from the mineral oil its been preserved in before the brush gets loaded up.
I use the same 3 part mineral spirits wash process after I want to clean off the oil based paint and store away.
I finish off by bathing the brush in mineral oil to preserve and store.
