Check out the Transformation of this 2015 Lexus RC-F: It has a hidden heartbeat

Submitted to Blog

Hi all, Pete here.

While I know I'm not eligible to enter in the Biggest Transformation Challenge that we're running right now in Rusto Garage, (I did double check with the team to make sure... 😂 ) I still wanted to share one of the biggest car transformations that I've been a part of. This modification of a 2015 Lexus RC-F for Lexus of Australia, was contracted through an Australian ad agency, M&C Saatchi Australia. Let me know what you think of this in the comments below.

Lexus of Australia wanted to show the world just how thrilling it is to drive their cars, so they hired M&C Saatchi of Australia for the campaign who then hired us to create the Lexus car. It took 3 months to the day in Australia (the final presentation was the evening of my last day of the 90 days there, fly home the next morning) I had a team help with application and electrics.

We painted “hidden” hash marks down the sides and front of the Lexus that were triggered by the drivers heartbeat via bluetooth tech. As the driver drove around the track at night and as he was more and more excited his heartbeat was displayed in the the paint within those hash marks. It's pretty cool.

Click through the photos above to see the full color change from blue to silver with “hidden" electroluminescent paint, and check out this video to see it in action:

If money was no object, would you want to try something like this on your car? Tell us in the comments below.

And don't forget to submit your own transformation in the Biggest Transformation Challenge!
