What is your role at Rust-Oleum and how long have you worked here?
I just recently came into the role for the Assistant Manager for PR & Corporate Communications, but I have been with Rust-Oleum for 5 years. Before, I worked in Product Support.
What is your favorite part of working at this company?
I have the pleasure of working with kind, hardworking, and supportive coworkers (and great bosses to boot). I’m also a creative at heart, so working at a paint company is a perfect match.
What's your favorite part of the Rusto Garage community?
How eager and excited everyone is to participate and share their feedback! Trust me, it doesn’t go unnoticed and we truly appreciate it.
What interests you most about the automotive world?
The strides in innovation and invention cooking up in the background. I’m always hooked and fascinated in the progress on electric cars. One day, I hope to own one but it’s just not feasible right now.
What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your automotive projects?
I really enjoy using the Automotive 2 in 1 Filler and Sandable Primer because of its versatility and the smooth finish it can produce. Admittedly, I haven’t used it on my cars but it’s great for rusty areas for sure.
What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?
Definitely putting off cleaning the interior of my car. It’s in desperate need of a deep clean. I’m waiting for when the weather warms up to really give my car the TLC it needs on that front.
If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?
Flying cars anyone? Eventually, we’ll get there, but I’d love to ride in one that zips around and get to my destinations as the crow flies.
What is your dream ride?
I’ve always wanted a convertible Mini Cooper. Might not have the best gas mileage, but I’m in love with the aesthetic. I also want to be the owner of a moped one day.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.
I’m way older than I look. Other than that, I’ve got some unusual pets! I own a ball python named Monty (yes, Monty the Python) and an axolotl named Bosco.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
I’ve gotten a hearty share of great advice, so it’s hard to just pick one. Here’s one that has stuck with me: If you’re wasting time doing something you enjoy, then you’re not wasting your time.
Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal? What will you be watching?
If we’re talking about staying at home, I love when my husband cooks up a pot of gumbo. And together we’d be watching an animated TV show. We’re both passionate about the medium, so we watch a variety of animated genres. 🥘 📺
