Today we're spending some time with @Rob c, who recently joined Rusto Garage and shared his YouTube channel, Adventures with Rob.

What brought you to Rusto Garage?

I saw an invite on Facebook and checked it out.

What’s your favourite part of this online community?

The variety of everything - from cars to experience to the stories, and everyone is welcoming and relatable.

How would you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?

I am a self proclaimed jacka$$ of all trades lol.

By profession I am mechanic I hold certifications from Ford/Lincoln, ASE, GM/ACDELCO. I am "self taught" meaning no tech school or college.

What interests you most about the automotive world?

I'm into old classics and I like the idea that something that was around when my parents or grandparents were my age can still be cool and turn heads.

What automotive projects do you like to focus on?

I'll work on anything that I can figure out (it's important to know ones limitations lol)

What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your automotive projects?

I'm a fan of the Rust-Oleum undercoating, it makes everything look nice and uniform under the car and I'm planning on using it on the floors of my current project, the Galaxie.

What is your favorite automotive project you’ve done and how did you accomplish it?

My favorite so far is the 1966 ford galaxie 500 I'm currently working on for a car show later this month. I'm posting videos and updates on my Adventures with Rob YouTube channel.

What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?

Gutting the interior of the galaxie and fabrocobbling new seat brackets to fit a different bench seat.

If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?

Universal fluids, meaning one oil for all engines, one transmission fluid for all transmissions, power steering, brakes, etc.

What is your dream ride?

1979 Ford f100.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.

My dream is to open my own custom shop where I can make what I think is cool and share it others who will appreciate it also.

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

You have two ears and one mouth for a reason. If you listen twice as much as you talk you'll learn something.

Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal? What will you be watching?

Pork chops mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and honestly probably watching vice grip garage on YouTube.

Thanks for taking the time to let us get to know you @Rob c! Fellow gearheads - if you're interested in restorations, head over to Rob's channel and give him a 👍🏼 and a follow!
