Getting to know Rusto Garage member @opie04 ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

What brought you to Rusto Garage?

Well I use the products quite a bit and once I got here I like seeing the new products, member's rides and the pro tips.

What’s your favourite part of this online community?

The group is very friendly and interactive that's what I like most.

How would you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?

I'm a solitary person just kinda hang out with my wife and daughter and tinker on my truck. For occupation I cut steel parts on a cnc torch.

What interests you most about the automotive world?

Honestly I enjoy the community and creativity you see in the automotive world. I enjoy the perfectly restored rides and I also like the rat rods.

What automotive projects do you like to focus on?

As far as projects go it's mostly just maintenance and my little truck project when I have time.

What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your automotive projects?

My favorite product line is the aerosol spray paints. I wouldn't have been able to keep my low budget build on track without the quality affordable products from Rust-Oleum.

What is your favorite automotive project you’ve done and how did you accomplish it?

My Xtremely cheap S10 is my favorite project to date. I kept my budget low and done as much as I could myself along with using Rust-Oleum paints for easy quality work.

What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?

So far my truck has been my most challenging project but if I had the time and money I'd love to build a rat rod.

If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?

I would love to create a powder coating system that was as durable as the big systems in an affordable spray paint kit. I think it would be great for the weekend guys that don't have a need for a full system that they may use one time.

What is your dream ride?

My dream ride would be a 1963 split window Corvette.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.

This is the toughest question and honestly I'm pretty much an open book.

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Don't worry to much about what you can't control or hasn't happened yet.

Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal?

My favorite meal would be a nice steak with mashed potatoes and sweet tea with a bowl of banana pudding for dessert.

What will you be watching?

I'd probably be watching a good action movie which could be anything from Smokey and the Bandit to any thing Marvel lol.

I've added a few before and after photos plus one of myself that was taken by accident while I was trying to figure out the front suspension on my truck lol! It's a combination of frustration and concentration.

Thanks for taking the time for this interview @opie04  - your truck looks great!
