Let's talk to Rusto Garage member @lpskaug@yahoo.com

What brought you to Rusto Garage?

I really like that most everybody on the sight are backyard hands on tinkerers, mechanics, visionaries and thinkers.

What's your favorite part of this online community?

Tinkerers, mechanics, visionaries and thinkers and real stories.

How would you describe yourself and/or your occupation to a complete stranger?

Retired carpenter, motorsports mechanic and old school.

What interests you most about the automotive world?

Anything fast, clean, well built, innovative, and jaw dropping.

What automotive projects do you like to focus on? What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?

Did a complete frame off 1957 chevy in 2000 and won my class at Detroit Autorama which I was quite proud of. Only part I didn't do was the interior, probably in my day they didn't let boys in home economics so I don't sew very well. LOL

What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your automotive projects?

I love most all the products and I think you've hit it out of the park with your Wipe New products. I also like buying Rust-Oleum in the quart cans and spraying it with my equipment for around the house projects.

What is your dream ride?

Would love to have my first new car back: 1972 SS Camaro Mohave gold with black interior 350 w 4 speed. Bought it new and it got stolen after a street race.

If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?

Anything fast and light with 4 wheels I have never balanced well lol. Maybe a killer sleeper street car with 1000 plus hp.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.

Have always loved racing competitive go karts.  Raced on and off from 12yrs old to 46 yrs old.

Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal? What will you be watching?

Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with white gravy, corn and Diet Coke.  🥤  I'll watch anything action packed.

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Everything happens for a reason. Don't sweat the small stuff -- it's all small stuff. Trust in the Lord.

Thanks for spending some time with us @lpskaug@yahoo.com!
