What brought you to Rusto Garage?
I heard about Rusto Garage on Facebook I believe, and liked the idea of being part of a forum that was not strictly about one type of vehicle or subject matter.
What's your favorite part of this community?
I enjoy reading about the various projects people are working on, along with all the challenges you all bring to life.
How woud you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?
I work on large power transformers. I keep the power flowing from power plants to power lines.
What interests you most about the automotive world?
I like to see new innovations and new methods along all vehicular modification areas. I even like to see old tricks and tips mixed in along with the new.
What automotive projects do you like to focus on?
I like to work on most anything automotive related. Its not my profession, but something i enjoy. Wrenching is just a good way for me to take my mind off things. I also enjoy making the small details stand out as well.
What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product? How has it helped with your automotive projects?
My favorite Rust-Oleum product so far has been the Rust Reformer. My project truck had a good amount of surface rust, and once I cleaned it up, I used the rust reformer. I really couldn't believe how well it covered, along with how well it has lasted.
What is your favorite automotive project you’ve done and how did you accomplish it?
To date my favorite automotive project has been restoring my '72 C10. It was started under a carport then quickly took over my garage. I would work on it in the evenings and on the weekends, doing everything I could do to have it ready for show season. Moving parts every two minutes because my space was limited. Then I invested in a large detached garage and was able to spread out more and work later also. Reading forums, watching videos, and just talking to other individuals that had trucks like mine allowed me to finish my truck virtually on my own.
What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?
The most challenging project I have taken on was the re-wire of my truck. Once I stripped the old harness and had a "roadmap" I was able to go back and begin installing my new harness. Between routing everything neatly and being sure i made the correct connections, along with being sure it all would work the way I needed and wanted, It was a long process. But very rewarding at the end.
If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?
If I could create an automotive product, it would probably be a heat resistant powder coat. Powder coating has so many options for colors and to be able to utilize those on headers or an engine block would be great.
What is your dream ride?
I don't have just one dream ride, because I like a ton of vehicles. Old, new, foreign, domestic, you name it. I think if I had to choose one though it would be a 64 or 65 Impala.

What's the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Best advice... Always stay true to what you believe.
Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal? What will you be watching?
Favorite meal for a relaxing night is probably something on the grill and I will probably have on something car or sports related.
