Pete grew up in the American Southwest developing a love of artwork through customizing anything he could get his hands on as a kid. Right after high school, graduating as a Salutatorian, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He also gained distinguished honors as Platoon and Series Honorman in field artillery, an honor reserved for exceptional teamwork skills, endurance, and bravery. After leaving the service, he committed himself to art, drawing inspiration from life experiences and the skills and knowledge he learned in the Corps.
Pete went on to own and operate custom airbrush novelty stores in malls across the country to include Mesilla Valley Mall in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Queens Center Mall in New York, and The Fremont Street Experience Stratosphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pete also has found a way to share his skills and knowledge with others in the custom aftermarket industry. He helped develop Ohio Technical College's Custom Paint curriculum and taught Custom Paint and Graphics at the college. His curriculum is still used for classes today!
In early 2013, Pete worked for Darkside Scientific as Chief Operating Officer and helped develop and bring Electroluminescent Paint, LumiLor, to the aftermarket industry. Pete has spent over 15 years in the aftermarket industry with awards ranging from Innovator of the Year and Best Technology at the SEMA Show to the Tesla Innovation Award and many more in between. Now, Pete is the Founder of PaintWithLight.com, which specializes in the application, service, and training for the Light-UP LumiLor Paint.
