Do You Poke Holes??

Submitted to The Shop

Way back when, my dad taught me how to keep my paint cans clean and not make a mess when wiping the rim or putting the lids back on.

We all know we get that build up along the inside rim of the can after pouring off our favorite paint, but did you know, if you haven’t already, that you can punch holes in that inside rim of the can to allow the paint to drain back into the can?
This technique pushes the paint back in the can when wiping the rim and doesn’t allow the paint to pour over the sides when the lid seals. The paint will drain back in the can.

Anyone else do this?

NOTE: Make sure to hold on to the can of paint when punching holes in the rim. 😅
