What is the Rusto Garage Community?

Rusto Garage was created for you on behalf of Rust-Oleum to share content and ideas about car care and customization. 

You are invited to participate in surveys, activities, challenges and discussions to share your thoughts about our products and company. We know creating connections with each other will strengthen our community and make participation worthwhile. 

We look forward to your contributions and thank you in advance for your participation. 



What's in it for me?

This is your opportunity to learn from others, share your achievements and ideas, and provide your input directly to Rust-Oleum. From time to time, you may have the opportunity to test out new product or win free stuff, so we think it’s worth sticking around.


 

Do different people see different things? 

Much like your other social media sites, everyone’s Rusto Garage experience may be slightly different. We may target surveys to certain groups or individuals based on different criteria. The content you see will depend on the topics that you tell us are most important and interesting to you. We created this community for you, and want to make sure you have a unique experience that works for you!


 

How do I participate?

When there’s something new to do, you’ll find it displayed on the main feed, listed on the Things to Do page, and you may also be notified by email depending on your notification settings. You can manage which notifications you receive on your settings page. You can also visit the The Shop at any time to start a new conversation or join one already in progress.


 

Will the information I enter be visible to others?

Rusto Garage provides an engaging experience for all participants, and encouraging discussion and connection between members is one of our priorities.  That being said, there may be private activities and private surveys to help members feel more comfortable openly and honestly sharing their opinions. Each member will have a personal profile displayed that other members of the community can see. You will be able to contact other members in the community using the community’s private messaging if you choose to do so. In open activities, you’ll be able to see comments, discussions, and ideas from other community participants and your comments, discussions, and views will also be visible.


 

Can I invite my friend or family member to join Rusto Garage?

Yes, and we encourage it! You can invite others to join Rusto Garage by using the “Refer a Friend” feature.


 

What if I want to stop participating in Rusto Garage?

We would be sad to see you go, but if you wish to be removed from Rusto Garage you can close your account by following the steps on your profile settings page or email us at rustogaragesupport@chaordix.com with the subject line:

"Close my Rusto Garage account"

The support team will close your account and remove all of your personal information in accordance with GDPR legislation.


 

What if I forget my login information?

If you have forgotten your login information, don’t sweat it, it’s really easy to reset. Just go to the main login page and click "Forgot Password". An email will be sent to you shortly with a link to reset your password (you may need to check your junk mail folder.)


 

Can I do all the activities at once?

Yes, anything that is open when you login can be completed. There will always be new surveys and activities added, so check back regularly. 


 

Can I make multiple submissions per activity?

Sometimes you'll have the opportunity to make multiple, or even an unlimited number of submissions in an activity. Other times, you'll only be able to complete one submission.


 

Which fields are mandatory?

Participation in Rusto Garage is optional, but if you choose to participate you are required to complete some mandatory fields in order to progress through the questions and activities. Mandatory questions are indicated in the usual way using a red asterisk.


 

Do sessions time out?

Yes, please note that your session will time out after 1 hour of inactivity. If you walk away from your computer in the middle of submitting to an activity, you will lose your content if it’s not saved or submitted. 


 

What are badges and what do they mean?

Badges are awarded for being active and participating regularly in the community. Everyone in the community can see your badges, and they help you stand out in the community. You can check out all badges, and what to do to earn them on your personal profile.


 

What if I want to change my login information?

You can change your password or username at any time. Simply click on your profile photo in the top right hand corner of the page and a drop-down menu will appear. Select “Settings" and then choose the "Change Password" tab to enter your new password.
