What brought you to Rusto Garage?

I am a very big car enthusiast and love the idea of helping to give feedback and reviews to new or improved products.

What’s your favourite part of this online community?

I love getting to try new products for our cars and trucks making taking care of them easier.

How would you describe yourself/occupation to a complete stranger?

I work for a Natural Gas utility company. My job title is Gas Controller. I oversee our southeast pipeline and make sure everyone is getting the natural gas they need on a daily basis and monitor pressures, alarms, and alerts for the entire pipeline.

What interests you most about the automotive world?

I am a car nut. Growing up I got my love for cars from my Dad, and from watching shows and movies like The Dukes of Hazzard and Smoky and the Bandit. I love seeing how cars and trucks change with the times and new technology. My biggest interest is the modern muscle cars and how they make more power every year and still managed to get pretty decent gas mileage.

What automotive projects do you like to focus on?

My biggest focus is maintaining routine maintenance and doing my best to keep my truck and van looking new inside and out. I take pride in keeping them looking that way.

What is your favourite Rust-Oleum product?

I would have to say my most favorite Rust-Oleum product as of right now would have to be the headlight restore product because the headlight lens covers are one of the hardest to keep looking good. This particular product has definitely made it easier on myself to make the headlights on my truck look more like new.

What is your favorite automotive project you’ve done and how did you accomplish it?

I have really had way too many to try and choose. If I had to choose one it would have to be when I had my 69 Dodge Charger. I do not currently have it anymore. When I  bought it 20 years ago my goal was to go through every mechanical  part of the car and suspension to make sure the foundation of the car was good. I did most of the work myself except for the engine. I took the engine to a race engine builder.

What’s the most challenging project you have tackled (or are putting off!)?

The most challenging projects are projects I have yet to start to date. My father has a 1965 Chevrolet C-10 truck, and a 1942 Jeep built by Ford during the war. My goal is to restore both of these vehicles. These are very near and dear to my heart because they are my father's and because both vehicles have been in my family for over 40 years.

If you could create any type of automotive product/project (with no limitations), what would you design and why?

I would design a totally different type of automated car wash that would incorporate robotics that would wash cars with precision and would also wax and buff. This car wash would mix new technology with old school American Graffiti looks along with old school music and entertainment that would include having old car movies playing in different parts of the car wash.

What is your dream ride?

My dream ride is either a 69 or 70 Dodge Charger restomod.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know about you.

I am a very private type person that really does not like large crowds. I stay to myself mostly with only a select few friends.

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Save every penny you can and invest.

Kicking back for a relaxing night: what’s your favorite meal?

My favorite meal would be a Hawaiian steak, baked potato with a salad.

What will you be watching?

Tombstone or El Dorado with John Wayne.
